Yellow with a touch of gold

Weer een korte blogstilte... maar achter de schermen draaide mijn creativiteit wel overuren hoor.

Soms enkel in mijn hoofd, soms deed ik er ook werkelijk iets mee. Dus de komende tijd mag jij je verwachten aan een overload aan foto's, naaisels en ander creatiefs.

Zo besliste ik om vanaf nu, na mijn uitstap naar Londen en The British Sewing Bee Live 2017, om regelmatig een blogpost ook in het Engels te schrijven. 

After visiting The British Sewing Bee Live 2017 I decided regularly write English blogposts as well. 

Maybe you've noticed, the last few week there was a silence on this blog. But behind the scene there was creativity buzzing in my head. Sometimes that creativity led to daydreaming only, other times I really used it to start/finish a project. So from now there will be an overload of pictures, sewing projects and other creative stuff posted on this blog, don't say I didn't warn you!

En net zoals het weer stilletjes aan veranderd, kondigt dit ook een nieuw seizoen aan op mijn blog.

Om de start van de herfst en een nieuw blogseizoen te vieren toon ik je een nieuwe set kussenhoezen.

Over here it's getting colder, leafs are falling. And just like the wheater is announcing a new season, this blogpost is announcing a new blogseason. 

To start this new season I show you a brand new set of pillow covers. 

Geel, niet knallend maar zacht herfstig geel (als dat een kleur is?). Ik gebruikte meubelstof voor deze kussens. Dat is een stevige stof die heel aangenaam is om te verwerken. Voor een glossy detail en extra 'chique' zorgt de dikke gouden paspel die ik gebruikte. 

Laat die knusse herfstavonden maar komen!

Yellow, not that funky lemon yellow but a warm bright one. I used furniture fabric for these ones.

This is a sturdy fabric that is really nice to sew. For a glossy detail I combined the fabric with a golden ribbon, in dutch we call this sort of ribbon 'paspel' but I don't know the English word for it.
